a nice weave of the impact of race, class and culture on the lives of people residing on a small caribbean island
i couldn't put the book down. the characters were engaging; the social situations were realistic and enthralling; the mood was taut yet sprinkled with enough comic relief to be entertaining. a nice weaving of the psychological tug and war experienced by several principal characters and this provided a rich understanding of the impact of race, class, and culture on the psycho-social development of a community of people connected by the energy of a small yet dynamic island. check it out.Was this review helpful?
