If you only buy one book about weather, buy this one.

This book explains both the fundamental physics of weather and the complex interaction of air masses in a way that can be grasped by almost anyone. I just wish a new edition would come out with the latest science and computer modeling advances explained as well. If a new edition comes out, I will buy it.

A must read for any weather buff

This book helped me understand so many different concepts about the weather. I first purchased it as a teenager who had been fascinated by the weather her whole life, but who didn't know the terminology or nuances of weather. This book made it SO easy to understand, and the graphics and pictures were incredibly helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Great book for the average weather geek.

This book is great for the average weather geek. The graphics are good and the chapters flow. If you have basic questions about our atmosphere this book should serve you well. Meteorologist Fred Yco (AMS & NWA)

Great book (and reasonably priced) for any age !

A great book for anyone who wants to know almost anything about the weather. The graphics are superb; the text is very readable; the price is right. I personally own the first edition, but am ordering the revised one. I list this book as a supplemental resource in the college-level courses I teach in Physical Geography, Weather and Climate, and Climatology. My students are very impressed (and very grateful) for this publication - every semester, several of them purchase it for their own use.

    The Weather Book

I really enjoyed this book. I found it easy to understand, and the graphics were fantastic. This is a great way to learn a little more about the weather and to understand more about our atmosphere. I as a student who plans to someday be a meterologist, felt that this book was definately worth my money. I also liked the fact that I could start wherever I wanted and the majority of it still made great sense. Enjoy!!

    OK

I liked it, but in some parts it could have been a little bit better.
