Good Intentions, Unique Approach to Vocals
I've always admired Michael's guest appearances on other bands' albums, so I took a plunge and purchased this collection. Pardon me for my candid review of this conglomeration (amalgamation) of hits featuring His lord and savior, Michael McDonald. Am I the only one that believes Michael has kleenex wedged in both cheeks while he sings? I honestly believe that he wads up tissue and stuffs it in the sides of his mouth before he records a track. To be specific about my suspicions, I believe that he records the song before the fabric has had an opportunity to moisten. That would create a whole separate effect on his vocals. In order to properly muffle the voice, the tissue must be dry to not only damper the soundwaves, but to dehydrate the tongue, thereby creating a certain tone of desperation in the end result. Don't get me wrong, I think we're looking at a solid set of songs here. I just question his motives. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
