Has some good info - but also some bias
There is good info in this book, but I struggled with the author's biases - against traditional medicine. Author really encouraged natural medicine as therapy of choice. Not that I am opposed to that, but it was almost saying that if you preferred traditional medicine you weren't strong enough to deal wiht this disease on your own.Was this review helpful? I also struggled with the diet plans - I am in need of help with the nutritional aspects of this disease. There must have been 5 different diet plans and none of them seemed to be really geared towards PCOS. There was a diet if you have diabetes, thyroid problems, heart problems, etc - but nothing if you are reasonably healthy and need to lose weight while struggling with PCOS.
A bit disappointing, but good information on what the disease really is and how it impacts the body.
