I thought this was a great introduction to veganism, but more importantly, it inspired simply a healthy lifestyle. It was informative and friendly. It confirmed things I already knew, but added so much more to the plate! While I am neither vegetarian nor vegan, this book gave me plenty of food for thought! All puns aside, authors Ben and Brett show how eating healthy and exercising moderately can really make a difference in the quality of our lives. The exercises were straight forward, and the start-up programs were realistic. Even the 2 week vegan diet plan was definitely worth a try. If you're trying to lose weight, or just want to live healthier, The Vegan Athlete is a great place to start, as well as continue if you're no longer a beginner.Good recipes at the back too, and ideas for substituting ingredients to your existing recipes. That was pretty cool.
