a closer look at a private lady

This album chnaged the way i once viewed myself. It changed my thoughts about evrything. I love this album. It was a very open way of expression that i didn't expect from Janet. This was my 1st taste of her music (a whole album) and i must say it made me a fan. I hope she cont. 2 push the envelope and give people a since that they are not alone.

    Janet's Best By Far

This introspective, multi-faceted concept album takes you deep into Janet's previously untouched inner turmoil. Janet pulls back her own velvet rope, revealing a darker side of herself as she sheds her burdens and demonstrates a new depth and realness both personally and in songwriting. While the journey is not always as upbeat as in Janet's prior works, the openness and vulnerability acheived by the album's end makes the journey worth what Janet has made a very enjoyable ride. Especially notable : You, Got 'Til It's Gone, My Need, Empty, Anything.

    Good record

The patch of this album from ''What About'' to the end is a really strong set of varied, interesting and challenging pop music. ''What about'' in particular is a brave, strong & moving portrait of an abusive relationship. ''Special'' is a sweet song with some amazing musical surprises. ''Tonight'' is an intriguing update on Rod Stewart's lecherous classic. <BR> Didn't expect to enjoy it so much, but I did!

    Janet Jackson Shows Sensuality

Janet Jackson went from being full-clothed until barely clothed. This lady went from passive to expressive sensuality. Although the album is long, it has perky moments and funky beats. This album is a definite must for long night of dancing or partying. Enjoy!
