    Just as good as ever.

I have been reading the Shannara books since 1980. This set is great, couldn't put it down, got through all 3 volumes in 4 days. Great ride.

    A Master At it Again

I think every reader of fantasy has picked up Terry Brooks's amazing Shannara series, remembering with fondness the arduous life of Allanon and Pell Ohmsford as he brought the Sword of Shannara to bear to destroy the Shadowen. Indeed, the majestic series has taken on a life of its own, become something living that will become as epic as Homer's writings, as Tolkien's work, as all great writers who have dominated their fields. This series, straddling the time gap between the attack of the Shadowen as a hundred years later Walker Boh the last druid strives to find a mysterious magic that could change the Four Lands forever. The three books must be read together they weave a tale of powerful emotions and legendary finess. If you were already a Terry Brooks fan, you will adore this trilogy, and if you're not, after reading these, you most certainly will be.

This is Terry Brooks greatest series yet. You will be entranced at the detail and intricacy in these books.
