    Something Special

As I've gone through my older collection and replaced worn-out tapes and vinyl, the remaster of this one has re-emerged and surged to the forefront of my most favorite albums ever. The more I listen to it, the more I'm convinced it's on equal footing with "Pet Sounds" and "Sgt. Pepper" as the greatest albums ever. Everything's covered: Joy, heartache, anger, longing, whimsy, etc., and it's all cobbled together into a pop masterpiece.

A great album...I'm not sure what else to put here...

I'm listening to it right now, and it is truly a great album. It somehow manages to have the slightly random and funny aspects(Odorono, Medac, Heinz Baked Beans, Silas Stingy etc.) as well as some really good songs, that are more than just enjoyable(Armenia City in the Sky, Our Love Was, I Can't Reach You). Even the less serious songs, are good as songs; they don't entirely rely on their topics. The radio clips, of which many (or is it all?) were created by the band, are interspersed throughout the album, and add a nice touch. An altogether humorous, beautiful, enjoyable, and interesting album. Definitely a good thing to own, or at least borrow from the library at first

This has got to be one of The Who's many great albums of Their career. A great album for somebody who is a new fan.
