    Perfect for Beginners

For $10, this was a great find! Packed with information on basic Wiccan functions, practices and tools. Very fun to read, very colourful, and easy to understand! Definitely recommend as a gift for the young witch, as it is obviously geared toward that croud. But, it was fun to read through as an old witch, too.

    I would buy this again!

As a Pagan who has been practicing for over 40 years, I am always looking for books to add to my library that will actually enhance what I already know. This book is very basic on one level, but manages to pack a lot of information on everything from astrology and numerology to actual spell work and rune casting and divination into one slender volume. I like the fact that there are quite a few easy to reference charts about herbs and their uses, colors and their meanings and how to work with stones and the planets. It also incorporates ways to access the magic of not only Celtic Gods but also many other Pantheons such as Chinese,Egyptian and of course, the Gods of Rome and Greece. She often offers choices to the reader, assuming that the reader is intelligent enough to make good choices on his or her own, which is preferable to occult books that assume you are an idiot and they must make the choices for you.

This book is easy to understand and straightforward in presentation. It is informative without being pompous or preachy, and the author's easy, conversational tone is pleasing. She is obviously knowledgeable about her subject. There is something in this book for not only the novice but also for those who have been walking this path for many years.
