This was an amazing, throrough and completely helpful book for those of us unfortunate individuals who suffer from migraines. I found it useful and interesting almost immediately, which is important for me since I often lose interest in books quite easily. Dr. Hutchinson covers over-the-counter, prescription, herbal and non-traditional remedies, both preventative and abortive treatments, clearly laying out the options for the different situations of her sample patients. It became very easy for me to identify with at least one of them and start to copy her suggestions to help with my own migraines. Perhaps the best piece of advice she gives is to keep a headache diary, which lays down a pattern from which to start a treatment plan. Thanks to this book, I feel empowered and armed for the future, ready to tackle my future migraines with different herbal remedies, aspirin in powder form, and maybe even a new triptan medication! At least now I know what to ask my doctor and what other treatment options are out there for me. Brava Dr. Hutchinson!
