Absolutely an essential Star Wars novel series for fans of the original
trilogy, especially anything related to the starship battles. If you're
tired of reading about Jedi and other Force-users mucking up the galaxy,
then the adventures of this band of heroes, rogues, and pirates led by
ace pilot Wedge Antilles are sure to grab your interest. Chock full of
action in space and on the ground, with deep character development and
enough light-hearted moments to keep the series in an enjoyable realm of
fiction, the X-Wing novels by Stackpole and Allston capture the feeling
of Star Wars in a manner unique from most other novels of the Expanded Universe.

    The Star Wars Sratfighter Experience

The series that takes the exciting starfighter battles that we envision in our minds to life. Follow rogue squadron heralded as the bright shining sword of the new republic as they take coruscant and beyond. Witness the creation of wraith squadroon which is the vibroblade in the alley as they infiltrate Warlord Zsinj. Both squadrons are created and led by the infamous Wedge Antilles, the only man in history to survive both Death Star runs and who becomes the best starfighter pilot in the galaxy. My heart goes out to both Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston for creating a landscape of endless imagination that I still enjoy to this day from when i read the first book over 15 years ago.
