It is amazing that people with such a poor grasp of human physiology and disease processes dare to write a book dealing with a serious medical condition. This book is scary. The premise is that Western diets promote 'acidity' in the bloodstream, leading to all sorts of problems. The most amazingly ridiculous sequelae stated by the authors is the proposed conversion of blood cells into bacteria and yeast. Unfortunately for the authors, this is against the laws of physics and biology and is IMPOSSIBLE. The only reason that any of the testimonials from patients may be true is because the proposed diet contains little, if any, carbohydrates or actual caloric intake. Patients lose weight (apparently at a very rapid, unhealthy rate). WEIGHT LOSS ALONE CAN EXPLAIN ALMOST ALL OF THE CLAIMS IN THE BOOK, not some magical 'pH Cure.' Don't buy this book unless you're interested in a vegan diet largely devoid of any real nutrition.
