    Okay

Not my favorite story of the series. I felt it drag and get tedious. The female character annoyed me. The male character was a wonderful southern gentlemen. The story didn't keep me on the edge of my seat like the other books of this series. So Keep reading the others they are all really good.

SUN, SURF, SEX, SUSPENSE - NOT NECESSARILY IN THAT ORDER

Sun, surf, sex and suspense - Bravo! Fans of Roxanne St. Claire will surely applaud her latest read, proving once again she's Queen of Suspense. The second in her trilogy of Bullet Catcher adventures is guaranteed to keep you reading through the night for the ultimate 'who-done-it' conclusion. Vanessa Porter, a 31 year old Wall Street high flyer, is in the Caribbean, but not to take advantage of the sunshine. She's on a mission to track down her colleague and best friend, who mysteriously disappeared while on vacation. Meanwhile, Bullet Catcher Wade Cordell is on a mission of his own. He's been assigned to track Vanessa down. Seems Vanessa is the only chance in helping solve a thirty year old mystery and save a woman's life - a convicted murderer who happens to be her birth mother. Ms. St. Claire treats her readers to 349 pages of a wild ride in the Caribbean sunshine with this latest Bullet Catcher adventure! Be sure and watch for the last book of the trilogy - NOW YOU DIE (available September 2008). Mine is already on order.

    Then You Hide

I've read this whole series from the beginning and really love these books. But there was something special about this one, like the author has really hit her stride. Wade is a perfect Bullet Catcher hero - tough and cool and very sexy, but a real gentleman on the inside. (I think that's what I like most about this author's heroes.) Vanessa is also tough, and not always in a good way. She's a little rough around the edges, but I really related to her, she seemed the most 'real' of St. Clair's heroines so far. Definitely not perfect, but she made me really feel her pain. I loved the Caribbean setting and I thought the whole suspense plot with a missing friend being a cover up for a bigger crime was very clever. I don't agree with the reviewer who didn't think the end made sense - it did to me and I loved it. In fact, I stayed up until 2:00 am to finish and didn't mind the lost sleep. All I can say is bring on Lucy Sharpe. That should be the best book of all.

    ***Page Turner****

I have a habit of grabing a book at the local supermarket because it sounds good not realizing that it's apart of a series. I picked this book up when I was taking off for vacation. I completed the book before I got back home. First day back to work I was at the book store on lunch to buy the first of this series. The second one was so good I was dieing to know what had happen in the first book. I will be getting the third book!

    A wild and sexy ride

Roxanne St. Claire continues her pulse pounding Bullet Catcher series in Then You Hide. ________________ Wade Cordell agrees to take what appears on the surface as a cake assignment. He needs to track down a woman on a Caribbean vacation. Wall Street hot shot Vanessa Porter. What he thought was an easy assignment is anything but easy. Seems Vanessa has her own agenda. _______________ Vanessa Porter is using the cruise in the Caribbean as a disguise. She is searching for her friend Clive Easterbrook who has disappeared. Seemed easy enough until Wade Cordell comes along. Wade wants to bring her back to the states to save her dying birth mother. Vanessa knows all about her jailbird momma and wants nothing to do with her. This is until she makes a deal with Wade. If he helps her find her friend she will go with him back to the states. ________________________ There are people who don¿t want Vanessa to find her friend and they send her on a wild chase across the islands. But there are others who want to harm both Vanessa and Wade. _____________ Vanessa and Wade start out with opposite agendas but soon their main goal is to stay alive. Along the way their attraction in the tropical paradise becomes hotter then anything either has known. _____________ Then You Hide will keep you turning every page to find out who is trying to sabotage Vanessa search for her friend. Vanessa and Wade¿s chemistry is electric and their banter is hot and spicy. I can¿t wait for the next story in this series.

    definately a page turner

Definately a page turner until the end. However there must have been some pages missing at the end of my copy. Way too many loose ends. A total cliffhanger. I prefer a book that ends with no questions leaving me the choice to move on to another author instead of purchasing the same author to find the answer to the previous book.

    Then You Hide

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I love romantic suspense, especially when the romance is front and center, the conflict between the two people is real and the plot is complex enough that I can't figure out who the bad guy is. This book hit every one of those, and more. Very hot, great story, amazing hero and a heroine who was opinionated and real. Cannot wait for the next book!

    an exhilarating romantic suspense thriller

Vanessa Porter goes on vacation in the Caribbean. However, she is actually seeking her missing friend Clive Easterbrook, who vanished. Bullet Catcher¿s CEO Lucy Sharpe tries to persuade consultant Wade Cordell to fully join the team he refuses as he says he is no longer a legally paid assassin as he was for the marines and CIA. Disappointed, Lucy asks him to do a small favor find Vanessa. Apparently she was one of three babies taken from their biological mother Eileen Stafford in 1978 Charleston and sold on the black market Eileen needs a compatible bone marrow transplant.------------- Wade finds Vanessa rather easily, but she persuades him to help her find Clive. In return she will meet her mom, take the compatibility test, and decide whether to donate or not she hides from Wade the fact that she made up her mind to refuse. However, as they work together and fall in love, the effort to save Clive may prove deadly to the wannabee rescuers.---------- The second tale in this Bullet Catcher¿s trilogy (see FIRST YOU RUN) is an exhilarating romantic suspense thriller as Wade and Vanessa run into one nasty scenario after another trying to locate Clive. Although Vanessa¿s actions seem too unnecessarily risky, she makes the story line hum with her obstinacy and courage. Fans of the saga will appreciate this strong action-packed entry as the lead couple learns that love is a strong impetus to live for.-------- Harriet Klausner

    Then You Hide

I was hoping I'd like this book as much as the first in the trilogy, and I actually liked it more. Then You Hide is non-stop action, adventure and romance with a really snappy heroine who hides a deep wound and possibly the sexiest bodyguard on the planet. I was amazed that St. Clair could take the 'find the daughter of a woman in jail so she could donate bone marrow' story line again and make it completely different from the first - and also a book that can be read alone without having read the first one. This is its own wonderful story with two people I really wanted to root for. It has multiple plot twists, lots of colorful characters, a gorgeous setting, steamy, steamy love scenes, edge of your seat action, and a little emotional twist at the end. Perfect! I loved it and will probably buy the next book (featuring Bullet Catcher's owner Lucy Sharpe) the day it comes out.

Be enfolded in a captivating plot

A woman dying in prison. A woman who confessed to a crime she didn¿t commit to save her children. The children she gave up for adoption to protect the identity of their father. The father who let her take the fall for the crime he committed. Roxanne St. Claire¿s ¿Then You Hide¿, the second book in The Bulletchaser Series, is a titillating read. St. Claire has the ability to capture every emotion felt by every character and portray those feelings so clearly that the reader is enfolded in the captivating plots that are characteristic of her books.

    An Outstanding Page-Turner

Southern gentleman Wade Cordell is the best marksman in the military. Or he was until he left because he was tired of killing people for a living. When Lucy Sharpe offers him a full-time position with the Bullet Catchers instead of the part-time consulting work he¿s been doing, he waffles. He knows Bullet Catchers protect their clients, but he hasn't forgotten that sometimes they have to kill in order to protect. So Lucy offers him a ¿gimme¿ ¿ a simple assignment to find a woman who¿s on a vacation in the Caribbean. Find her and take her to meet the woman who gave birth to her and then sold her to a black market adoption ring. The woman who¿s serving a life sentence for murder. The woman who is dying a needs a bone marrow transplant from a relative. Wade tracks her down on St. Kitts, but Vanessa Porter is a keen negotiator. Before the Wall Street investor with the killer instincts will agree to visit this woman, Wade must help her find her work associate who¿s decided to drop out in the islands. What follows is murder and mayhem that takes Wade and Vanessa from island to island, following a trail of clues, which might be leading them to their man ¿ or not. And while Wade is falling in love with the woman he¿s supposed to find and protect, Vanessa is fighting the emotions because she can¿t possibly love a man who killed for a living, any more than she can care for a woman who is not only serving time for murder, but who sold her like an unwanted lamp. Rapid-fire dialogue and a plot full of twists and turns highlight this second book in Ms. St. Claire¿s 2008 Bullet Catchers trilogy. This bodyguard is to die for and he steams up the love scenes like rain on asphalt in August. He¿s met his match in Vanessa, a spitfire with a brilliant business sense but who considers herself unworthy of anyone¿s love. You won¿t be disappointed in this fast-paced romantic suspense.
