An essential French phrase book
My sisters and I had this book when we were little, and, despite a complete lack of appreciation for its French-ness, wore it out. Each page features a phrase in English, its French translation, its phonetic pronunciation, and a picture of 'when you say it.' The book follows a pair of children on their travels to and around Paris, and provides invaluable vocabulary for use if one requires assistance hauling a sworfish through the porthole of one's stateroom, retrieving a dolly from the Seine, or dealing with a dragon in one's bed. The illustrations are charming and funny. This is a book that cries out to be reissued in a new printing. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
