Review originally posted at Romancing the Book

I couldn’t wait to read Therian Prisoner. I read the first book in this series, Therian Prey, but didn’t get to read the second one. As I was reading, I felt that I had missed some major parts so I need to go back and read the second book.  No matter what, I can say that I truly loved this book. I enjoyed meeting all the old characters and then some new ones.  I have come to enjoy reading Cyndi’s work. I really enjoy how strong each one of her characters are.

Devon has been kidnapped and made to do things against her will. If I had gone through what she did I would’ve just given up- but she didn’t. She felt dirty and does have some scars, but who wouldn’t? She has the type of personality that I would like to have.

There is more to Ian than even I thought. I enjoyed uncovering a lot of his secrets and feel that with each book we get to know more and more. One of the things I enjoy about this author’s writing is that you never know what will happen next. I thought that Ian would put up more of a fight in the story then he actually did.

The plot was one that grabbed a hold of you and never let go. Even when I reached the end of this book I was left wanting more! I know that the next book in the series will be even more surprising with more secrets revealed.  I  think I know who will be in the next book and I hope that I’m right!

I recommend this book and series to anyone who loves shifters. When you read this series, you read about different shifters, not just one which is one of the things I like the most.
