a pretty weird spin on a supposedly popular genre

So the only reason I read this book is because my mother brought it home, and first of all, I have no clue why it's in the YA section. Yeah most of it is okay, but there are certain parts that dont belong in YA literature, like Eddie and his mother. Secondly, I hate the style the author uses. For the first half of the book that was all I could think about was the perspective. Third, there are 3 parts and after the 1st 2 its feels like it's being dragged out. The one thing I did like was how he tied the last part back to her past. I definitly wont be reading the next book in the series and will most likely be staying away from this author.

Update: So apparently b&n doesnt have a dlt feature: this review was suppose to be on the 1st book, but i was on the wrong page and didnt verify before i hit submit, so srry.

    Disappointing

I read Thirst No. 1 and wanted to see how it played out. I bought Thirst No. 2 and was severly disappointed. Aliens...really??? So totally stupid. Come on! It had potential, I'll give it that much, but it went in an odd direction. I wasn't feeling it at all!

    HORRABLE HORRABLE HORRABLE!!!!

UGHHHHH!!!! this book was a complete and total disappointment! The first book was amazing and the 2nd was pretty good too........... until the ending. the end ruined the whole book. when i look at the cover now all i want to do is barf!!! Not only did Joel die which is who i wanted Sita to be with she proceeded to go back in time, kill yaksha before he was born so there were no vampires and make sure she never exhisted in the future. Plus, when Joel died i thot oh okay Sita and Seymour will finally get together with i thot would be nice and cute.... BUT instead of finally getting the love of his life seymour gets to die of aids because Sita didnt exist so she never cured him. he dies reading his story of her in his bed with like fluid in his lungs er something. it is incredibly horrible and sad. i was depressed for 2 weeks after i read it and couldnt get the disapointment and crappy ending out of my mind!

    Yikes!

I am surprised that this book was in the "young reader's" section. I am on page 72 and there has been killing and sexual behavior. I would be disgusted if my 12 year old daughter picked up a book like this and read it. This book is definitely not "young reader" appropriate.
