An odd three-disc set from Deadline, This Is '80s Hair Metal isn't nearly as definitive as its title implies. Subtitled "Studio Fuelled," the first disc in the set features what must be re-recordings -- Quiet Riot's "Cum on Feel the Noize," Warrant's "Cherry Pie,"

This is one of those cd collections that looks good on paper but when you hear some of your favorite songs butchered, well it hurts. The sound is sometimes good and if you are looking for originals, it would be best to find another company that offers better quality. Some songs are grittier and heavier but it should be noted that these songs are not the originals. Also there is a dance techno mix of Faster Pussycat- House Of Pain on the 3rd disc. It is a decent cd if you want something different from the originals. The 3rd disc is the best but not the Faster Pussycat song. The title of this cd collection should have been THIS IS 80'S HAIR METAL REDONE. The lack of Scorpions, AC/DC, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Faith No More, Motley Crue, Tesla, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, Ozzy, Mr Big, a true Poison song, Van Halen, Trixter, Danger Danger, Every Mother's Nightmare, Bon Jovi, Kiss and every other one hit wonder band.
