    The plot had potential, but unfortunately it fell flat.

    It was OK, but I was disappointed. A good book could have been a great book with more character development. I didn't get to know the characters well enough to know whether I liked them or not. The conflicts were not well defined and instead of resolutions, situations just fizzled out with no emotional commitments from the characters or the reader.

    Best of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers

    The opening sentence hooks you, and it keeps you going, EVEN THOUGH the parts related to the Peace Corps exerience end less than half way through. Rosenberg is an engaging writer, and I will look forward to more from him.

    I LOVED this book!

    This was a very funny, smart, important, and well-written first novel. I could not put it down, and it kept me up half the night thinking about it. The characters were very real, and the detail felt amazingly true.
