Thomas book gets an A+
This Thomas book gets an A+. In addition to the pleasure of reading it together it provides hours of independent fun. My son loves pressing the sound that matches the picture. We love to read about the adventures of Thomas. This book provides good hand eye coordination and matching skills. The Thomas stories have "social value" beyond the simple entertainment of the story and we have seen a direct connention between our little boy's willingness to help out with chores around the house and his wanting to be a "usefull engine". Unlike some other interactive books that break easily or run out of battery power after one day - this book hold up great to an energetic 3 year old. The pages are durable and the buttons have held up against being "accidently" stepped on.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This is an amusing book but it is really more of a toy than a book. And like a toy, kids quickly lose interest. Each page has hidden flaps that the child finds and opens. Inside each flap is a picture that he matches to one of the buttons along the side. The button makes a sound unique to each picture. The sounds are cute. I likes the kitten and the seagull best. The story is typical Thomas. One of the trains needs help and all the other trains help out. It is cute and fun for a while but definitely not a bedtime story. Was this review helpful?
