You thought politics today was divisive and bad? This book takes us back to pre-WW2. Most people who know about the war know there was division in the country prior to Pearl Harbor but most don't realize just how much and how intense it really was. This book does an excellent job providing a look into those days. I highly recommend it to any student of WW2 as it gives a very different perspective on Roosevelts leadership (or sometimes lack thereof) which has been all but forgotten in favor of his post Pearl Harbor leadership. The enigma of Charles Lindbergh is also explored in detail. Was he an anti-semite and pro-nazi. You will need to read the book to find out. I am stingy on my stars so a 4 star from me means exactly what it says..."very good".
