Digital, HAH! Too difficult to read on Nook

I tried out the format and the pages were all over the place. I wanted to see some of the ads and they kept reverting to the "article view' or something like that on the next page. If Threads is sponsored by advertisers, why make it so difficult to SEE the adverts for pattern companies and fashion fabric houses? Secondly, if they were ready for the digital world, hyperlink the blasted urls, please? Why should anyone have to switch screens and tap in a url on a tablet? My Nook is set to single page format, and yet, when I tried wide view to see if I could see the pages better, the double page view just would not give up.
Come on, 21st century! Hire someone to deal with the digital issues better, Taunton. Canceled free trial after about 20 minutes of fighting with it.

    mediocre

This magazine is good for techniques, but most seamstresses either know the techniques or have books or can look up free tutorials online. I'd like there to be more patterns and projects. Also, the magazine seems directed to an older demographic. The styles shown are very dated. Instead of just pattern reviews, I'd like to see pattern alterations. Like how to turn a wrap dress pattern into Cersei's costume from Game of Thrones. Young seamstresses don't make clothes because we need to, we make them because we want something cool and different that fits perfectly. We want a variety of projects, some simple and quick, some challenging and time consuming. We want interesting fabric choices, ways to alter fabric. Like show me how to make fake leather and then have a purse pattern to use with the fake leather. And maybe include reader submitted projects. Like the 4 best each month with short tutorials or descriptions. Right now this magazine is on par with an instruction manual. But I don't want a manual, I want ideas to help my sewing be more creative.

    Most Informative Sewing Magazine

I was so happy to find Threads available on my new Nook. The tips are so helpful. If you want to know about a new method or better way of doing something this is the best magazine for the money. I've been sewing over 50 years really enjoy knowing that young people are sewing again. Keep up the good work.

Too much of a fashion mag, not enough of a sewing mag

There were a few good sewing tips in here, but most of it was just dumb fashion runway stuff that I could have gotten from almost any magazine. I was hoping it would have more tips on how to embellish and finish off patterns.. there were a few, but not enough compared to the fashion content. I could care less what people are walking down runways in quite frankly.
