    Good Read!

I love Jeff Shaara's books because not only are they a good readable way to get a history lesson, they bring historical characters to life. Even though the books are fiction, they still give strong insight into how wars were fought and the plight of the everyday soldier. Try one and I guarantee you will read another.

    Great Stuff!!

I watched the Japanese fly over our house on their way to Pearl Harbor. That is one reason I find Jeff Shaara's trilogy so engrossing. He writes well and gets one involved pretty deeply into what those guys in the fox holes experienced. It feels pretty real! And that is not always pleasant reading.

I have read everything Jeff and his Dad wrote. I think! They have brought the Civil Way alive for me. I hope Jeff does something on the Way in the Pacific.

Maps not readable in digital edition even on large PC display.

I enjoyed all three books in this series. They were atention gripping as well as informative. I would have given these NOOK books five stars in the maps would have been readable like those I examined in thhe print editions. The maps in the digital edition lacked enough pixals th be readablle at any magnification on any display.

Enjoy the historical novels. Mr. Shaara has a marvelous way of using history intertwined with his literary genius to show how things probably were and actually happened.
Little details in history were gleaned from the reading of these books and gave cause for me to consider reading once again. I would recommend this as needful reading for all Americans. It is a work of honor to the greatest generation that ever lived, and they should be remembered for their great sacrifice.
Thank you Mr Shaara for such a great masterpiece.
