Thrill of the Night by Mina Carter
    * I received this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Gwen has had enough of the nomad life of a hunter. She has settled down in a small town where she works at the dinner and lives in a motel room rent free. She has convinced herself that she is happy with her new life, until the handsome stranger walked into the diner during her shift. She can't get the stranger out of her fantasies, um mind.

Even now, Gwen is always in hunter mode when she is alone outside. As she is walking home she spots some bloody handprints that could only belong to another hunter. To her surprise the injured hunter turns out to be the handsome stranger from the diner.

I enjoyed this story and the interaction between Gwen and Jasen but was a little lost at first. I would've liked a little more back story about Gwen and the hunter profession though.

It seems Jasen has his own ideas about he wants to do to Gwen and she is perfectly fine with them. The scene in the hotel room was very sexy, especially when the guns were involved. I would love to follow up with the characters and see where they go from here.

Overall I enjoyed Thrill of the Night and would've loved for it to be longer. I give it 3½ Flaming Hearts.
