Warcraft fans! If you're interested to know more of the Second War before the Burning Crusade event, you'll understand more of the invasion of the Horde, the formation of the Alliance, how Alexstrasza's (Dragon of the Life-Binder) children were being misused by the Horde. And you'll eventually will find out characters that will later reappear in Warcraft: The Burning Crusade & Frozen Throne. Nevertheless, this book comes with detailed scenery, delightful humor, vigorous battles, and last but not the least, devastating tragedies. Enjoy this book as I did. I would also recommend this book to readers who have never read any of the Warcraft series that currently enjoy reading any fantasy/sci-fiction books.

Not only was this book a failure of tremendous epic grandure, I often wonder if the author even at once played or read another warcraft book/game. First of all, this book was nothing but a summary. There was no character development and there was certainly no real sense of a war. From the author's point of view, readers can clearly tell Aaron is an alliance fanatic. So much so that he has recorded real slim casualties for the alliance so such tremendous death's for the horde that the reader can be lead to believe that the orcs were merely infants. That is not the case. Of course the horde did lose the war however, the author seem to believe that in such a bloody and long faught war like warcraft 2, the alliance won with such ease. Even the fearsome Doom Hammer was not able to score more than a handful of kills while a lowly peasant with the Alliance over his head was able to make Zul'Jin run away. Such a one sided disappointment this is
