I really loved this book.  It was hot, intriguing, sexy, suspenseful.  It held everything that I  would expect from a book in this genre.
The characters were well-rounded and complete.  The plots were succinct yet interwoven to enhance each other.  The supporting
characters were exactly as they should be, no supporting character taking more of a place in the story than they should.
The mystery in the story had me completely hooked, talk about a page turner!  This book would have been just as good without the
heat but it was even better with it.  This book would have also been just as good without the mystery, but again was even better with it.
The main character, Genevieve Delacroix, reminded me a lot of J.D. Robb's Eve Dallas.  She is tough and excellent at her job and has
the weight on her shoulders of standing for her victims.  This is an excellent read and I would recommend it highly.

Heavy on the Sex...Light on the Suspense

Cole Adams comes to New Orleons searching for information related to his sisters murder years earlier in the city. Her death has haunted him for years and he’s hoping he can convince Genevieve Delacroix, a homicide detective with a good track record, to help him find answers. Things take an unexpected turn when Cole tracks down Genevieve in a bar and chemistry explodes into a night of passion Cole wasn’t prepared for. He doesn’t tell Genevieve about his hidden agenda or his initial plan to ask for her help and instead gets caught up in a passionate affair he can't walk away from.

Genevieve is a hard working homicide detective that gets little support or respect from some of her male co-workers on the squad. She works harder, she acts tougher, and she rarely lets her guard down. She’s busy trying to piece together the clues left behind at several grizzly crime scenes, convinced there is a serial killer at work when she meets Cole. Can Genevieve risk getting involved with a stranger who is less than honest about his past? And when Genevieve ends up the target of a sadistic killer, who will she be able to count on?

I recently read another book by Tracy Wolff, Full Exposure, and a lot of the comments I made on that review are true for Tie Me Down as well. These books aren't in a series together but both are in the Loveswept Contemporary Erotic Romance family and share several similarities. If you've read one and liked it, it's worth checking out the other.

If you’re not looking for an erotic story, I wouldn’t recommend reading Tie Me Down. The suspense story line is definitely secondary to the sexual relationship between the two main characters. This book is pretty much filled with sex. While there are BDSM elements throughout the story, primarily domination and bondage, I considered the book to be BDSM-lite. Cole is definitely an alpha, and his need and desire to control Genevieve in the bedroom starts right from the beginning and is evident in his thought process and his actions. Not only is Cole an alpha that wants nothing more to dominate his lover, but he's also quite the dirty talker.

Tie Me Down is definitely a hot read and has a couple major ingredients that I always love in a book, mainly steamy sexy, a bossy alpha, and major dirty talk. It was also well written. I can't help but feeling a bit disappointed though. I've always loved the romantic suspense genre and I realize that it can be difficult to get a good balance between the suspense and the romance. For me, Tie Me Down had almost too much sex. I know, I know...I can't believe I'm saying that either! But the potential was there for this to be a much stronger suspense book than it was. In the end, it was just much more about the sex than anything else. The best romantic suspense books, even those with an erotic element, have a good mix of both.

Overall, a 3.5 STAR READ for me.

Although the serial killer subplot is loaded with intrigue, twists, and a terrific climax, it is typical of the sub-genre

After eleven years on the force, New Orleans homicide investigator Genevieve Delacroix still puts on a façade of kicking butt as the only female in the unit. She conceals from everyone especially the testosterone filled homicide squad her secret sexual fantasies. Her current case involves the brutal rape and murder of a teenage Tulane student that she ties to two other similar gruesome homicides.

Cole Adams wants Genevieve to reopen the investigation into the cold case ugly murder of his sister Samantha several years ago. He also begins a documentary on sex and violence. However, from the moment he sees Genevieve in person, his objectives change as he needs to have sex with her. Feeling like a teenager, Cole soon discovers Genevieve's secret fantasy, but as he ignites her passion, the French Quarter serial rapist-killer targets the only female homicide detective in town.

Although the serial killer subplot is loaded with intrigue, twists, and a terrific climax, it is typical of the sub-genre. However, the light BDSM brings freshness to the lead couple as each enjoys their little spanking TIE ME DOWN games. Tracy Wolff provides an engaging erotic police procedural romance filled with suspense and sex.
