Time to Smell the Roses is an absolute delight to read. Terfle is certainly the star of this book. With her newly pruned drawing skills and her ingenious mind, Terfle makes it clear that she is no longer Hermux's pet. She is an associate detective and a very good one at thay. While Time to Smell the Roses did feature pseudo-bad guys with guns, riveting adventures, a missing squirril, a murder, black widows, creepy coroners, crazy prank-obsessed scientists, and a more ruthless Tucka Mertslin (with luscious lips and a stuffed black widow to ornament her hair), the book is lovely. Hermux is the same unassuming, decent mouse, Linka Perflinger daring and endearing, and Terfle positively radiant. With quaint thank you notes, many, many delicious descriptions of food (ex: cherry-rosehip-peanut cruller and the skinny skinny butterscotch caramel latte), brave deeds, and new characters, Time to Smell the Roses is just as charming as the previous Hermux Tantamoq books, with a tad bit more adventure. Buy it! Read it! You will love it!

TIME TO THE SMELL ROSES is a great book. It's better than all the series put together! Terfle ,a ladybug, is my favorite character, who, in this book, loves to draw. I highly recommend this book.
