    No Kidding!

"...18-year-old Robbie Carre, the roguish hero of Johnson's Outlaw, and 30-something widow Roxanne Forrestor ...Demanding, stubborn and childishly irrational, Roxanne's young lover behaves more like one of her children than a romantic hero. Some readers will no doubt be titillated by the older woman--younger man romance, but others will likely find Roxanne's maternal role in the relationship distasteful." (Publishers Weekly) Truly there is not other explanation for this work, than these words. I applaud Ms. Johnson for her originality, however, i had this feeling that she took it too far. At least we now know the reason why the heroes are generally older than the heroines, obviously because the more they age, the more they mature, whereas women mature faster than men. She only proves that with this book. Still i find her work to be pretty nice even if the character's don't suit me at all.... I would surely recommend you give it a try if you're tired of all the cliched historical romances. It'll open more choices for you, i promise.
