    witty romance

I loved this book. Ver lighthearted and witty. It was nice to see the hero longing for a woman he couldn't have and what he does to get her. The whole book was a lot of fun. A really good Saturday afternoon read. I will have to find the first in the series(at least I hope it is a series) Bride Hunt Ball. Can''t wait for Rosiland's story.

The latest AT THE BRIDE HUNT BALL Regency romance is a fun tale

In 1813 Adam Faraday has been a rake forever. Now he needs a bride or he must face the wrath of his dowager grandmother, who will cut off his funds and part of his anatomy. Surprisingly to everyone who assumes him to be a womanizer, he wants one woman, shy Lady Charlotte Greene. He has loved for years though he has hidden his feelings from everyone especially her because she would never settle for a rogue like him.

Charlotte decides she wants Lord Tristan as her husband, but "men never make passes at girls who wear glasses" (Dorothy Parker - the perfect surname). Instead, the wallflower climbs into Adam's bedroom to enlist her best friend's help in her husband campaign though he is the one she truly desires. He agrees to pretend to desire her to make Tristan jealous. Adam asks her to help him survive his grandma by pretending to be his intended wife though he intends to make it happen for real; she also wants him to make it happen for real.

The latest AT THE BRIDE HUNT BALL Regency romance is a fun tale as Charlotte comes out of her web seeking a husband in a comedy of errors as she and Adam hide their feelings behind a not so subtle pretence. The story line is fast-paced from the onset as the lead couple sham a relationship that everyone buys into as they have the look of love is in their eyes. Fans will enjoy returning to the Bride Hunt Ball for the entertaining second card.

A most satisfying next book that picks up on Charlotte Greene's dashed hopes at the infamous bride hunt ball and the notorious rake Adam Faramond, the Earl of Rothbury coming to her rescue with a waltz.

For years Rothbury has kept his eye on Charlotte, seeing her beauty, goodness, and offbeat charm. They're each trying to shake off the ton's view of them: she the clumsy wallflower and he the seductive rake. And unbelievably they become friends; both able to speak to each other easily, which puts great strains on Rothbury's control and Charlotte's growing fascination with him. The catalyst is Rothbury's aunt whose loony behavior - and confidential conversations in French (which Charlotte understands) - contrives a false/real secret marriage between them. His wish come true - Charlotte as his wife - enables Rothbury to shed his rake's image once and for all and Charlotte to shed her wallflower cocoon and emerge as a gorgeous butterfly.

    Great Book!

Great Book! I enjoyed this story the author makes the reader become of the story. As always you have tow individuals who love each other but takes time for them confess their feelings or have yet to realize it. Very romantic. I would read again.

    Excellent read

Funny, just the right pace, romance without that cloying, vapid tripe that passes for romance. Strong heroine, strong hero. A pleasure to read.
