Still a catchy rap album to this day!

Vanilla Ice's first album, To The Extreme was and still is a classic to me. It's full of catchy rap numbers like Ice Ice Baby, Play That Funky Music, the energy filled Ice Is Workin' It, Go Ill, Ice Cold, I Love You, Life Is a Fantasy and others. The songs are heavy on the basslines and beats. Ice's lyrics are unique with how he raps them, even though a few lines don't make sense. The album set the standard for later rap albums to have major pop success like Nelly, Eminem, Jay-Z and other artists, that you should get your music out there to the masses regardless of what the cold critics say. I believe that Ice has enjoyed a second success on reality shows like The Surreal Life and other shows, yet still be recognized for his music. He's one of the few rappers that is still around even if he isn't the flavor of the moment. And I credit it to the multi-platinum success of this first album. His later efforts never matched up to this debut, but it's a remarkably done album full of funky beats and sounds!

    Worst stuff ever?

The image and music provided by Ice & company may be the worst ever. It is the chessiest thing I have ever heard from some white boy posing like a gangster with his "nine." Ice and all the gangster rappers should give it a rest!

    One song, Below Average CD

Ice Ice Baby....that's pretty much all the album had going for it. Vanilla Ice was basically just an invention to make money and experiment with the potential of a white "rapper". Never really considered him a real rapper in the first place. Very cool gimmick though.

    Alright Stop Calaberate and Listen...

I haven't heard the whole cd yet, but it has my all time favorite song on it. I am a sucker for old school rap and this guy was awesome. And he really knows how to move.
