If you are a fan of Artie, this is a must read book

I love Artie on the Howard Stern Show. I think he is an amazing comedian. So I bought the book expecting to laugh my ass off, instead I cried. The book shows a great insight into Artie's life. Yes, he did tell most of the stories on the Howard Stern Show, but on the show they came off as mostly funny, Howard's making jokes and Fred's playing sad music. The book shows the stories in a truer context. At times Artie bares his soul to the readers. I think this is one of the most revealing book I've read. If you are a fan of Artie, this is a must read book.

I like him on the show, but he has no talent past being on the show, and even that is debateable. Anyway, he dissappointed me again, first with his bad movie and now this.

Like the Man Himself, he needs to Trim Down!

While I enjoyed the prospect of reading about the new Mr. New York, everything about the experience was just too much, I read for enjoyment and the book stayed flat for too long during some storytelling. The books I enjoy are page-turners, I had no problem putting this down and starting and finishing other books, then returning to Artie. But in all honesty this is a one note book, funny at times, poignent nowhere near enough, maybe it was just me, but I don't see what the fuss was all about. Anyone who lives and or visits New York reguraly would have stories (some better?) to tell.

    A disappointing waste of time.

Nothing new, terribly written. Seems like a guy should have many more stories in such a long period of time. His dad stories were interesting but those have been told and that was about all there was.

    Absolutely Horrible

Artie is pretty funny on Howard Stern, but that is where it ends. His book is a very slow, boring read. His attempt at movies and standup are also dreadful. I don't know why I expected something different and interesting in his book writing abilities. Anyhow, I think he is funny on the show, and I am actually disappointed in his book because I really wanted to like it.. now I just really want my money back.
