I can wait to read more from this author
I have been reading this author for a few months now and just as soon as I get finished with one I have to have another. I love her characters, the women always have strength, the plot, always the right amount of twists and turns that keep you on your toes, and the subject matter, FBI with a paranornal slant, I love it all.

Thriller!
This is the first book by this author I have read and I was very impressed with it. The book does give pretty detailed descriptions, but this is my kind of book. I liked all of the charaters and really loved the topic of the book. I have bought every book in the Bishop series I can find.I had been hunting for another serial killer type author and think I have found it.

Appeal to readers of romance, paranormal and suspense
There is nothing more frightening on the face of this earth than encountering the personification of evil when it wears a human visage. The women of Seattle are very fearful because some psychopathic madman is abducting women, raping and torturing them and cutting out their eyes. There are at least four victims, two dead, one alive but without sight, and the last person underwent pioneering eye surgery where she was given the eyes of a dead person.
Maggie Barnes, the police sketch artist, has an uncanny way of getting victims to relive the crimes that destroyed them so she can draw a picture of the perpetrator. John Garrett, a very successful and powerful businessman, is the brother of one of the dead victims of The Blindfold Rapist. He is using all the resources at his command, some of them very unique, to help Maggie and the police find the culprit. Neither Maggie nor John pays attention to the danger that surrounds them as they come even closer to unmasking the killer. If they come out of this investigation alive, a glorious future awaits the two of them together.
Readers who liked Kay Harper¿s psychic suspense Shadow series will love this work which features characters from that trilogy who make cameo appearances. The romance plays a secondary role to the action-oriented story line but there is plenty of appeal to readers who like romance, paranormal and suspense in one great package. TOUCHING EVIL is an enthralling work written by a natural storyteller.

Good
I like the series, but i found the main characters a little weak in this story. Not their personalities, but how kay portrayed them. Imo anyway

Excellent as usual
I started this series in the middle of it and had a hard time finding the earlier ones. This one, as every other Kay Hooper book I've read, kept me turning pages until I finished it.

As usual Kay Hooper comes through. The first part of the book was a little slow but went faster as you read.

Great book...until the end
The book grabbed my attention from the beginning. It had wonderful twists all the way through and I could not put it down. I didn't think the gross factor was that bad as previous reviewers did. The book had a great foundation and seemed to be a 5-star book until the end... I thought the end was terrible, the end can make or break a book and it broke this one. I was expecting a surprise and a wrap-up to the rest of the story, but I thought Kay let us down.

Wonderous.
I loved it, the detail was crisp and full, like being there to see it which I love!! The story was amazingly great to me on all forms, and I love the fact that the book deals with an Empath. It was great, I loved it and won't let my copy leave my bedside table.

Hooper Glows
Maggie Barnes is an empathic sketch artist who can see the face of a killer through the eyes and tales of the victims involved in the case. But this time it isn't that easy, the victims have died or have remained living without the use of their eyes. John Garrett's sister was the second victim of the Blindfold Rapist and he intends to see that the killer is brought to justice and he intends to have Maggie's help. Hollis Templeton is the only surviving victim of the Blindfold Rapist's brutal assault and when she starts hearing someone's voice in her head talking to her, she starts to wonder if she isn't just plain crazy. But Hollis needs to see again, one way or another, because she needs to help Maggie and the voice who has come to help her. Kay Hooper is stictly amazing. Her stories of the paranormal and gifted are a new twist to the romance category. One wishes when reading Kay Hooper's books that maybe for one day you could experience what it is like to be gifted, and yet be horrified at the same time. I adore Kay's use of characters in this book, bringing to light once again the team of FBI agents that we have seen before in Kay's other books in this series. This book is a treat that people looking for a different stroke of Romance, Intrigue, and Murder will surely enjoy.

A Beginning of Another Great Series.
Kay Hooper gets better and better with her books. This one is definitely a winner. Very suspenseful and intriguing. I could hardly put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended.

Exclusively an airport book.
In 'Touching Evil,' Kay Hooper spins a highly improbable yarn about police sketch artist Maggie Barnes, who has a 'secret' behind her talent that she 'isn't telling.' Well guess what? She's got a funky paranormal connection to violence, which is no secret, and she does tell. The plot of this mystery is full of loose ends, cliches, and holes as big as your fist, and all the psychics in the world (all of whom, incidentally, appear to be involved one way or another in this silly tale) can't fix it. This book is written at about a fifth-grade level, but the content is much too gruesome for a child. Also I wouldn't subject a young reader to Hooper's clumsy overuse of elipses. Here's a peach of an example: 'Maybe even... set in stone. Atonement. Whatever the... judgement... of the universe, in Maggie's mind, there's only one way to truly correct the mistake she believes she made.' Give me a break. This is suitable for the airport, but nowhere else. And only if you can't sleep on the plane.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
I read this book in 3 hrs. (non-stop). Being honest, it has been quite a while since I read a Kay book. My daughter bought it, read it and gave it to me. All I can say is Oh My God!! This book is a stupendous murder mystery (and not just one murder). The people solving these murders are FBI psychics. This book sets the precedence to a series of books all related by each with their own stories. Some repeating characters, ALL with the FBI department head, Noah Bishop (psychic). Each of the psychics in all of these connecting novels have varying degrees of psychic ability. Putting all of the above aside, this book has a series of murders, with the same M.O. The women are raped, tortured and all of them have had their eyes cut out. This may not be the best description for you, but all I can say is -- BUY THIS BOOK, READ IT AND PUT IT AS A KEEPER (as I have). After reading this book, there are 3 others that are connected - each with murders and the psychic FBI's. Really great reading!

Page Turner of the Best Kind!!!
This is one of the most gripping books I've read in a long time ... One that I've loaned to 2 people already, and recommended to many internet friends who share a love of mysteries with me ... The one person I loaned the book to shares the same opinion of it .. she works as a receptionist .. read the book while at work and was cursing the phone for interuppting her!
