I don't usually review products but I feel the need to write som

I don't usually review products but I feel the need to write something about this.  I bought one on Saturday and didn't even get though one game without glitches on the screen.  I reset the machine hoping that would solve the problem, but the glitches continued.  It didn’t really bother me, since they would go away after I pressed “Hint” and “I suggest” scrolled past.  I was going through the openings tutorials (which are VERY cool, it teaches you ~30 of the most famous openings) and the machine just stopped working completely.  I had to reset the machine again and lost my progress.
I took the machine back to B&N today (Monday) and they let me exchange it for a new machine.  The guy there was very cool, and very helpful.  I got the new machine home and while playing a test game it started again with the glitches.  During my second game it stopped working completely.  I’m really bummed this machine is faulty.  It has some really cool features, like programmed openings, piece specific training, and a ratings program.  The buttons and settings are not intuitive, but once you learn them it’s easy to navigate the program.  (I needed to reference the instructions for the first couple of times using the machine.)
But it doesn’t matter what programs it’s able to run if the machine can’t function through one entire game.

Received this as a gift after expressing interest in an electron

Received this as a gift after expressing interest in an electronic chess set. Short on time, my parents went to the local Barnes and Nobles and bought this product. It shuts off in the middle of games, freezes up during endgames and frequently has to be reset. Sometimes it just goes blank and then won't let you turn it back on. Completely useless as an electronic chess set. And sadly, people looking for an electronic chess set at B&N or Toys R Us have nothing else but this thing to choose from. It's cheap for a reason. My displeasure extends to the Barnes and Noble for even carrying this product.
