Received this game for Christmas and we had a great time playing. Not sure why the other reviewer couldn't figure it out - you have a set of cards, and you play them on the table IF one item can fit inside another. Be creative! Bread can fit in an oven, and an oven can fit in a house, and wheat can go in the bread... you can play multiple directions on the card pile. And when you get stuck there is always the "well if it was in a picture it would work" tact.. We laughed and laughed.

    more from this reviewer

Adults love this, too! Teaching tool extraordinaire!

This our favorite family game. We have a 17 year old and two adults. We've had other teens, twenty-somethings and older adults play with us and most everyone likes this. It is not about pickles, although there is a pickle. It is all about the adverb "in." The instructions tell you that the noun on each card must fit "in" the card below it, or above it in some cases. For example, "Fly" in "Refrigerator" in "Dumpster" . . . Here is a more sophisticated example, for olders and adults. "Bug" in "Pie" in "Sky" in "Universe" because of the expression "pie in the sky." The other players must agree that one item fits "in" another, if challenged. When you get to four cards in a string, a pickle round begins. Each player after that has an opportunity to trump the previous card in that particular string, with the person who called "pickle" getting the final opportunity. We have added a rule that says, if you can justify it verbally and the others buy the justification, a "cruise ship" may be "in" a "parade" because it is a cruise ship float. Alternately, a "cruise ship" may be in a "puddle" if it is toy cruise ship. Our family also came up with the most challenging version of this game for adults and older children. The nouns on the string of cards must make a believable story. For example. If the "cruise ship" is in a "puddle" a "flashlight" could not be placed "in" the "cruise ship." Each player that follows must remember the story and consider that when placing another card. It is a think-outside-the-box game.

Great game! especially with other adults

This game seemed mundane when I first played it with my 8-yr-old daughter, though it does give kids the opportunity to learn different meanings for the same word. However, when I played it with two other adults, the game took on nuances just not possible with children, and we had a blast! I have other friends who found it very entertaining with kids, but they are more verbally inclined than my daughter.

    awful game

My son received this as a birthday present. We tried three times to play, and could not figure out how to play. The instructions are unclear, and the game did not seem that interesting.
