STUDENTS OF THE BEATLES - TEST YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Most of the questions are tough. I'm a long time fan and own most of the books, albums, CD and movies by or about the Beatles. I knew only 6 out of 10 on average difficulty. The questions on the recordings category for example, ask about release dates, chart position in addition to what songs and what album contains it. If you actually play the game, the other players better be fans, or they will get frustrated. The books recommended below serve as source material for the game as their author is Bruce Spizer.

Disappointing, not so much trivia as obscure and uninteresting drivel

This was the biggest waste of money of the holiday season. As long-time Trivial Pursuit players and big time Beatle-maniacs my wife and I looked forward to this game with excitement. But the questions were not so much trivia as a meaningless mishmash of obscure and unimportant and irrelevant information. We played for hours and hours and found few questions that we could answer and none that we cared about. What makes Trivial pursuit enjoyable is that even the questions you don't know you usually find interesting and worth knowing. Not at all with this. After playing twice, we stuck it in the back of the cabinet probably never to be touched again. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!

Paul McCartney himself could not answer 75% of these questions.

My son is a huge Beatles fan. We gave this to him for Christmas. We were looking forward to some serious inter-generational bonding. While we enjoyed the game the questions were so obscure that I don't think we will play it as much as we were hoping. There aren't enough music related questions.
