A good train set
The tracks go together well and is easy for my three year old grandson to play with. He has been really enjoying it. I did buy the Figure 8 expansion set (more tracks), another Thomas engine and a Toby engine too so he has a greater area to play on.

Good deal for the price
My 2 1/2 year old son loves this train track set. He plays with it daily. He does get frustrated when the bridge falls down, which happens very often. I am tempted to glue the track pieces together so that they do not break apart all the time. Other than that my son really enjoys this set.

Grandma's Blessing...
My two year old grandson LOVES this Thomas the Train water tower figure 8 track set. And so do I! I call it "Grandma's blessing", because it's the ONLY toy that I can count on to consistently engross him in goodly chunks of time when he's at my house every Friday for 8 hrs. of loving care while his mommy works!

As I believe most grandmas would agree with me, while watching over a beloved toddler-aged grandchild is a privilege and a joy, it also takes a lot of energy and imagination in attempting to find activities that will engage a busy toddler's active mind and body for more than five minutes at a time -- not just for the child's sake but, also, so that Grandma can enjoy a breathing spell now and then! So far, the only toy I've found that does this on a reliable basis is this Thomas track/train set.
I do, though, have one criticism, which is directed to the construction of this set. While I find the quality of this toy to be first-rate, I think the middle bridge piece should come permanently attached to the side pieces. The middle piece of the bridge disconnects too often under the use of a two year old's 'bull-in-a-china-shop' hands, which means Grandma has to be constantly putting them back together. I finally glued them together, but it would have been better had they come that way from the maker of the toy. I'd have rated this toy five stars had they done so. -
Water tower
Purchased this item as part of the original kit for the 2 year old grandson. For a child that young, it is questionable whether this is a good toy. It attaches to a section of track with magnets, which is a super idea. It is often taken off the track, tipped over and it remains to be seen if the bubble remains ongoing or will break with use. Therefore, the 4 star rating vice a 5 star rating.
