    Loved it!!

I found the characters were well done. I enjoyed both of these books and am looking for book #3. I love to read and consider a short novel say 300 or so pages as to short if it is any good. This is good and long. I read a lot of fantasy & sci-fi. When I was younger I read historical The Kent Family Chronicles etc. I also wennt through an Ellery Queen phase. I don't know why I have never read stories about Knighthood. I will now make an effort to seek them out. These books bring back to me a time when honor and your word were of value. Something I feel is sadly lacking in the world today.

This book is very deep. I cant wait to read the second book. This story follows mostly the second borns family of a royal line and the paranoid king who thinks his younger brother and his family want the throne. With subplots involving a mysterious evil force from outside the kingdom and high ranking traitors working their evil influences an trying hard to turn one of the royal line. The Covenant is the hidden force for good that is ssomewhat battling thi evil force. Vividly told with just enough not said to keep you reading more and more. Read this book. I see a new hidden talent in the fantasy world.

    Terrible!

I hated this book! The story was predictable, the charactors un-believable and beyond shallow! The things every charactor did were like watching 3rd graders perfom Skakespear, it was torture. I got through book 1 without vomiting, and promtly erased book 2! Dont bother reading it if you value your mind!

    Great trilogy!

I don't usually enjoy stories about knights and gladiators, but this trilogy has me hooked. I read all three books within a week. I would love more books like this from the author. There were some editting errors but who cares when the story is so good.

    942 pages

This historical novel is 942 pages long. All but 5 pages are story. It is very bloody and has quite a bit of sex in it. It is well writen and at times is rambling. My favorite character is Remy. I am looking forward to book 2 to see what happens to him. This book is well edited. I saw in the reviews there might be a third book. If so, I will purchase it as well. For adult readers of both sexes.
