    Great storyline, but terribly disappointing

It wasn't too bad until about halfway through the book when it just took a complete nosedive. What got me first is that such scrutiny has been undertaken regarding genetic diversity for the seed planet population, but yet hundreds of generations of humans had been maintained with a total crew of 24. Impossible. They knew what velocity was but not the term half full. They didn't think it was important to open their toolkits, yet figured out how to make a flint knife and start a fire using two sticks rubbed together on their own (both knives and firestarters were included in their kits). Waste of time.

    Good story

The story had a good twist. With nice imagenning but fizz out near the end. Good lead into more storys like it.

Starts out great...wish it ended at page 250

As I said in my headline, it staetes off well. It's a shame. It appears that all of the work and creativity was put into the first 200 pages or so. After that, I kept waiting for it to get better. Then it was over.

I picked this up at the same time as the first light chronicles. Skip this. Read the first light chronicles. You'll end up buying the entire series.
