    Must Read!

Great story, good character developement. As a nurse, I enjoy the real life ER and also enjoy the senerios that would make my heart pound and my adrenaline flow. The author does the same with these characters. But she describes the aftermath, and helps us keep the faith.

I just finished Trauma Plan, the first book in the Grace Medical

I just finished Trauma Plan, the first book in the Grace Medical series by Candace Calvert. I loved this book, from beginning to end. I fell in love with all of the characters and was pleasantly surprised to find Kate, whom I remembered from Critical Care, the first book in Ms. Calvert’s Mercy Hospital series. I haven’t had the chance to read the other two in that series yet, but they are on my “must read ASAP list” that hopefully will happen very soon. I’m actually even more excited now to pick them up, so that I can discover how Kate ended up in a different hospital - what brought her here and what experiences she has had since I first met her.

Ms. Calvert really knows how to blend the excitement of an emergency room backdrop with the depth of interaction between characters. There is nothing I enjoy more than entering into the lives of great characters, feeling part of their inner circle. Ms. Calvert effortlessly weaves a great story with tons of twists, turns, and pleasant surprises to keep me reading while thoroughly enjoying the relationships being developed around me: Friend to friend, romantic interests, and secondary characters all blending together to make a great community.

I also love how she weaves Biblical truths into her stories, usually exactly the message God wants me to hear or have reinforced in my own life at the right time. She never preaches, but much like her character Riley who has a quiet strength about her (never pushing but always gently encouraging), Ms. Calvert chooses her words carefully to deliver a message of hope and salvation. A perfect blend that would encourage a seasoned Christ follower, a new believer, or someone who is seeking to learn more what Christianity is really about.

The main theme that I saw woven throughout this book was how God loves us all so deeply that even when doors are closed, opportunities are denied, and dreams are lost - God has His hand in all of that and has an even greater passion or desire ready and waiting for us. The new direction that He leads us through is usually better, more in line with our talents and gifts, and one that will bless not only ourselves but also those around us on a deeper level. It’s encouraging to see through a fiction book how God does (and will do) the same for us in our own lives.

Ms. Calvert is definitely one of my favorite authors. I love her writing style and how she uses multiple points of view (we are allowed to see what Jack and Riley and Kate all think and feel and the motives behind their actions) in order to see the big picture so clearly. I thoroughly look forward to the next book in this series, Rescue Team, and am privileged to have the opportunity to read it very soon!

    Super sweet

Another great read by Candace Calvert... As a nurse, it is hard to find realistic, meaningful medical fiction. This was perfect.

    Another winner!

This first book in the series(Grace Medical) is yet another awesome read by the very talented writer, Candice Calvert. Realistic situations, believable characters, developement of underlying biblical truths, and a great love story all make for a few -more reading less sleeping- nights

I am typically not a fan of medical fiction. However after I found Candace Calvert and read the Mercy Hospital series I am hooked. Trauma Plan is the first book in the new series, Grace Medical. The books are the perfect blend of action and romance.

    Loved it

I absolutely loved this book! The combination of mystery, romance, spiritual, and a touch of humor made for an incredible read. I connected to all of the characters on a deep level and could see pieces of myself in their journeys. I highly reccomend this and will probably be rereading it in the future.

    Great First Read

I will honestly admit this is the first full novel I've completely read on my nook since Nov, but this is an AWESOME CHOICE for a FIRST LOVE. Great characters, adrenaline pumping plots, convicting, tearful, funny at times, not too preachy. Its perfect. I'd classify it as a mystery-thiller/romance. So if you like movies like Spiderman & like to read stuff like that, then buy this. Not saying its like that...more like General Hospital, except its not over dramatic.

Gahh, its hard to compare. Just buy it and read-- then tell us what we think.

P.S.--I got this from Free CEB (.com), but it was worth $100! Gonna go by the series. Enjoy!!

If you enjoy Christian fiction with a little romance and a tiny bit of mystery you will love this book. Both Riley and Jack had growing to do, to see what God had for them. It was a good mix of faith, romance with a touch of mystery. I loved Bandy and Hobo as well. Bandy was a wise man.

    Enjoyable Read

This book takes a few twists and turns, but you cheer for it all to turn out right in the end.
