    more from this reviewer

an entertaining romantic triangle suspense thriller

In England, daughter of a seamstress Zoe Cyprienne Lane is a drakon, but conceals her magical skills from others out of fear more powerful mages will use her as an expendable pawn. In 1782 while her fiancé Hayden James is away investigating rumors of a magicians cabal from the continent causing problems. Zoe becomes fearful for her Hayden when his letters stop arriving.

At about the same time Zoe's childhood friend womanizing Lord Rhys Langford is abducted. Zoe vows to rescue Rhys, though she believes he is an ass through their psychic link, and learn what happened to Hayden. However, to do either means revealing she is drakon, which denotes she will pay an exorbitant price in the future.

Returning to the Georgian fantasy realm of THE DREAM THIEF and THE SMOKE THIEF albeit a decade later; Shana Abe provides her fans with an entertaining romantic triangle suspense thriller. The lead trio especially the courageous heroine makes for a fun gender bending tale as the least in her tribe as well as being a female tries to rescue the male drakon in her life. Clearly targeting romantic fantasy over historical in spite of the late eighteenth century setting, sub-genre readers will relish going on Zoe's excellent adventure.

Enjoyed this fourth book in the Dragon series

I have read the previous books and enjoy how the story is evolving and to see how the characters who were minor characters in previous stories emerge to the front. I have these in my permanent library and look forward to the next installment.

    I Also Recommend:

The synopsis makes it sound very enticing and a way to make the reader want open the book and want to read the first page.

Just reading the synopsis makes me hunry to read the book. Reading about how Honor is Rhys' only hope of survival and only love makes me curious about what is going to happen when they are together. I hope that if Rhys and Honor catch the perpatrator that its not Zane, because if it is Zane knowing that in Queen of the Dragons Zane told Maricara that hes helping Lia.Would they give him the chance to explain or will Lia miracously swoop in to save her love. I'm sure that like all the other books it will be as passionate and thrilling.

    Abosulety Fantastic!

I didn't know about this author until I accidentally found it in bookstore. This is such a wonderful book and series. I read all 4 books in 2 weeks. Can't wait to read the next book of the series. I am glad that this is not your typical romance book. It has character and adventure. The characters are so much fun. Couldn't put the book down.
