2 bad reviews out of 77 i wouldnt listen to those two people! These books trickter's choice and queen were great and also the different point of view of tortall and other places and cultures!! How she can make it all flow together just shows how fantastic of an author pierce is!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALL OF TAMORA PIERCES BOOKS TO EVERYONE!!! In case you are not sure where to start first read Alanna's books( the first advenruew, in the hand of the goddess, women who rides like a man, lioness rampant) next go to daines books( wild mage, wolf speaker, emperor mage, then realms of the gods) next go right ahead to keladry's books( first test, page, squire, lady knight) and finally aly's books( trickters choice then tricksters queen) i found miss pierces books first with wild mage( because i liked the cover i know never judge a book but im sure happy i did tgis time)read all of those books fourgot about them for about a year then found alanna then read daine again then aly then kel a little backwards s trust me when i say its alot better to stat with her books in that sequence:) butbeven if you dont they are ALLstill amazing. happy readin!!!!!

    HOW SAD.

This is the lamest, most boring book I have ever read in my life. It amazes me how someone can call this piece of garbage a masterpiece. This book was not interesting, and all the 'heroine' did was fret about her boyfriend for almost the entire book, then she goes and gets herself pregnant at eighteen.I wasted my money thinking that it would be different from the first book but I was dead wrong. The end was way too predictable and characters kept popping in at random points in the book, as if the first billion characters introduced in the first book weren't enough. I found myself flipping back through the entire book to check things, like where a certain character came in or when Aly did anything worth attention. Please do not waste your time and buy this book it will pay off.I really hope this reveiw is published because people need to know the absolute truth about this book.

One of the lousiest books I have ever read

I was ecstatic when I bought this book. I thought, like most of Tamora Pierce's books, that this would be a great book, and not at all like the prequel to this book. BOY, WAS I WRONG! Mrs.Pierce made this book so predictable and slow I was practically asleep by the third chapter. This book was all sex and no action. Getting rid of the boys 'impeding' Sarai's rule was SO predictable and Mrs. Pierce shouldn't have included him if she was going to kill him in such a tragic way. Aly became this pregnant teenager in the end, and the little PG-13 stunt she pulled on certain pages wasn't fooling anyone. It seemed like the afore mentioned stunt she pulled was making up for the unusual lack of cheesy romance in this book, so she pulled a whopper on us with the sexual content on these certain pages. This is a lousy and cheap novel, and I recomend that you do not waste your time reading it. Find more interesting books.
