EROTICA WITH A STORY!!!
You buy this genre of book for a reason but it is really nice when the story is good. Definitely a story of coming to terms with what you want out of life and who you are truly living for. Samair is a great character and under all of her issues, you see a really nice person and you find yourself pulling for her. Of course, it helps that Val is really hot and sexy. And you meet Karl, Val's friend, who is the main character in the sequel, Wicked. Well written, with intended results. It worked for me.

Trouble.
Trouble was, for me, a good solid read of fiction with an erotic edge. I liked the character and thought her woes were really realistic. Overall, this is something I would lend to friends.

Samair Jones has always behaved ¿properly¿ but all that has gotten her is loneliness and feeling that she is burying the real her. Tired of her boring lifestyle, Samair moves into the home of a friend, Joey Kent, a nightclub dancer at the Risque Club.-------------- The owner of the club, Valentine Ward, sees Sam enter his establishment and informs his partner Karl Dawson that she will soon be his as he is attracted to her. Upon meeting Val, Sam knows he is TROUBLE. He plans to provide Sam with lessons on being a bad girl. Sam looks forward to sex with no commitments. He proves everything he promises to be as he meets her every fantasy and introduces her to new ones. Sam assumes their fling will end, but when Val¿s former wife arrives to renew their relationship, she realizes she has fallen in love with her sex mentor.------------ The heat is on from the first meeting at the club between Sam and Val and never cools down until Sasha White's erotic tale is climaxed. The story line is fast-paced in between the sexual encounters while the trysts are hot and sensually slow. Character driven, fans will feel the tension as Sam and Val fall in heat and then love, but the ex lingers leaving the heroine with doubts about her knight and her skill to keep him satisfied.----------- Harriet Klausner

Trouble it is!
I've read several of Sasha White's books. The others I've read were a little bit better. Overall, this was still an interesting read. But...I doubt I'll read it again. Just a tad above average.

Not Sasha's best work
This book was o.k. because the author has written much better books. This book was alright, not that interesting or erotic. I just didn't care for the story being told. It was underdeveloped. You must make the reader care about the main characters for the book to truely fly. I like erotica with a good story not just for the sake of print ot meeting publishing deadlines.

Val not what I expected
Okay I have a tendency to read out of order. i read Wicked first with Karl. the ultimate ALPHA MALE DOMINANT. Since Val and Karl were friends I just assumed that Val was along the same lines. However, he was a definant alpha without being cocky and arrogant like Karl. I loved the story and would read it again. Samair has realized her life was moving in slow motion and not making her happy. When things happen forcing her to change her way of life she decides to go all in. and Val happens to be one of those things. I strongly suggest reading Trouble and then Wicked and then My Prerogative.

I really liked Trouble ¿the storyline really intrigued me. Once I started reading, though, the characters just pulled me right in. I wanted to know what was going to happen next with Samir, and then, VAL! Yikes. Very hot. The things this couple gets up to will definitely make your heart beat faster. The only trouble I had with this book was putting it down before I finished!
