    Recommended- Fast and stunning read

Isamu Fukui is a delightful author that, despite being young, excites the reader and has made the book an excellent page-turner. He writes the story from the perspective of all of the main characters; which gave him the option to quickly transition from the characters to stray away from an interesting plot turn. This is one of my favorite books by far; it contrasts the plight of students in a conformed society with the need to survive for those that were not allowed or were expelled from school. The radical life change in Zen and Umasi is exemplified throughout the story and can bring a rise and fall in the hearts of readers. "Open your eyes and look at the City! We hold its entire fate in our hands. Together, we can change this City for the better!" Zen. This quote symbolizes Zen's rebellious nature while Umasi has a calmer and less radical demeanor. Overall, this book has shown me the need to use reason in some instances, or opinions in others.
