Outstanding portrait of law enforcement officers

This collection of first-person stories is an unvarnished look at the professional life of a law enforcement officer. Better yet, it's a look at how that professional life spills over into every aspect of an officer's personal life. One can't help but have greater respect for people who are true blue every day of their lives . . . they are held to a very high standard and deserve incredible respect. By the same token, given the honor and integrity displayed in these stories, one can't help but feel great pain for them when one of their own crosses that blue line.

    TAKE THE TIME

This is a great book for a fabulous cause and a wonderful author. What I am about to write is a true story. I am in college and I was doing a paper about the lives of cops. I went to the local library and took out some books,' True Blue' and 'A Cops Life' also by Lt. Randy Sutton. I was reading the cover and found an e-mail for Randy Sutton. I thought gosh wouldn't it be great if I could get some first hand information for my paper. I decided to write him and explain what I was doing, never really thinking that I would hear back from him. Later that day I had an e-mail back from him saying he would be glad to help me and gave me his number so we could do a phone interview. Folks seriously this is the type of man he is. The full proceeds of this book are being donated to the families of the law enforcement officers killed on 9/11. Once you start reading it you won't be able to do anything else but take the time to read it all. It is that touching that moving and that powerful. You will not regret buying this book.

    Excellent

This is an excellent book for anyone that is interesting in knowing what life as a police officer is like. The stories on the police officers that responded to the World Trade Center on Sept. 11 offer a unique insight into what the officers experienced.
