I feel like I waited forever for Roni and Rich to get their own

I feel like I waited forever for Roni and Rich to get their own book. (In actuality it was two books about about three hours, but who's counting?!) Separately, they were two of my favorite characters throughout the first two novels in Bethany Lopez's Friends & Lovers series. Together, their chemistry was combustible. I knew it was only a matter of time before they collided and I couldn't wait for it. This was, hands down, my favorite book in the series.

Roni has an unpleasant past. Rich is a playboy who has been chasing her since she got to town, much to the dismay of her brother, Kent. There's no denying she's attracted to him (and maybe more than just attracted), but she's terrified of getting  hurt. Falling for Rich is bound to end in disaster. But, Rich is changing his ways and what he wants is a serious relationship with Roni. He's changed and he wants her to know that.

As with the first two books in this series, Trust in Me was sweet and romantic with realistic characters that I connected with. I always had a pretty good idea how it would end, but it didn't matter one single bit. I was in the mood for something sweet and slightly sexy and a good happily ever after. Bethany Lopez delivered with a quick, easy read that left me all smiles at the end.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Roni gets married right out of high school so that she doesn't have to live with her abusive father. She didn't know that the abuse would follow her after the move. After 3 years, she calls her twin brother Kent to come and get her, finally admitting the truth to him about the abuse.

She stays with Kent until she is able to find her own place. In the mean time she meets Rich. A player whom she wants nothing to do with.

Rich is a guy who loves women. Before he does anything them, he's up front with them about to expect from him. Nothing. He doesn't do relationships, and hasn't since Tara.

Rich notices Roni over summer break before his last semester at college. She's beautiful and can't not look at her when she's around. She rolls her eyes at Rich's comments towards her telling herself that he's nothing but a player. She could never be with a guy like that.

One desperate and lust filled night tunes them into each other and a relationship starts to blossom. But can Roni get over her past or will she let it ruin her future? Is Rich ready to trust a relationship again?

This is the final book in the Friends & Lovers trilogy. As I was rooting for Roni and Rich, I also got to catch up on the other couples in the previous 2 books. At the end there was an update on all 3 couples. I am so happy that the author included more on the HEA for each couple. This was a fun and easy trilogy and I really enjoyed it!

Trust in Me is the third book in the Friends and Lovers trilogy

Trust in Me is the third book in the Friends and Lovers trilogy and I think it is my most favorite of them all.  Why, because it's Rich and Roni's story.  I just fell in love with Rich in the beginning of the series and have grown to love him more as it progressed.  He is a total hottie and he knows it, he has a killer smile, a killer body, and is a total man-whore.  I don't know what that says about me, but I seem to always fall for the man-whores and bad boys.  Rich isn't your typical man-whore who loves and leaves them feeling angry.  He just loves women and has a way of making each one feel special and loved.....swoon......sigh.  When Rich meets Roni he knows almost immediately that there is something different about her and he wants nothing more than to know her better.  Roni is Kent's sister and has had a really rough life, is recently divorced, and has been left physically and emotionally scarred as a result of her experiences.  Roni also won't give into Rich's charms, and the man is pretty irresistible.  She denies her feelings as long as she can, but eventually has to test the waters and see if Rich tastes as good as he looks.  Rich is crazy about Roni, but when Roni's past comes crashing in around her any hopes of a relationship with Rich seems to dissolve around her.

I loved the romance between Rich and Roni.  It is the steamiest of all the books so far, and rightly so, especially when Rich is involved.  We also get to see all the gang in this book and they all play a big part in the story.  It was really great to see how this group has remained friends, and despite their histories together, all manage to love each other and get along really well.   I enjoyed where Bethany took this series, and I especially enjoyed the bonus endings which seemed to wrap things up for each couple and bring closure that gave them all their HEA.  Overall, The Friends and Lover's series is a great contemporary romance series and if this is a genre you enjoy, then I would certainly check this series out.

From the beginning of the series, I wanted Rich's story. He's always been sweet, funny, and suuuuper sexy. I'm really glad that he finally got his own book, and I'm happy that Roni is his match.

Like her brother Kent, Roni was a troubled character. Not troubled in the present sense exactly, but more because of what she'd gone through. She was a girl who'd never had a great shot at the life she wanted, but was working hard to make it happen now. She doesn't want a guy like Rich, who's known as a ladies man, but is actually so much more. Rich did not disappoint in Trust in Me. He was just as sexy and fun as in the two previous stories, but he was also kind and thoughtful. I really enjoyed this couple's journey to the love they both deserve.

I also really, really appreciate that author Bethany Lopez wrote bonus scenes for each of the trilogy's couples. These provided a sweet, fun look at their futures and gave a nice resolution to the series.

I will start by saying that I have not read the first two books

I will start by saying that I have not read the first two books in this series. I was approached by the author to see if I was interested in reviewing this book, and I honestly didn't even think to ask if I needed to read the first two books before reading this one. That said, you will be happy to know that you do not have to read them in order. It is entirely possible that you learn some information about the characters in the previous books in this one, but I think that it won't be enough to ruin any of them.

This is a very quick read seeing as I finished it in about three hours. It jumps right into the action and gives you something to think about throughout. The main female character, Roni, starts off the story by being beaten by her husband. She has called her twin brother to come rescue her and she escapes with minimal injuries. Her soon-to-be ex-husband is not so lucky, but once the main part of the story gets going, you will find that whatever happened to her husband is the last thing on your mind. Instead you will be going back and forth between what is going through Roni's mind/heart and what is going through Rich's. Rich is the main mail character who has been longing to be with Roni for quite some time. Of course he is shocked to learn about her history from his time in college yet he is still willing to be there for her. You will find yourself wanting to keep reading to discover where their relationship will go, how Roni manages to rebuild herself, and have a few exciting moments to enjoy as well. It was very entertaining.

This was a cute book. It dealt with some heavy issues, yet, Bet

This was a cute book. It dealt with some heavy issues, yet, Bethany portrayed these issues in a manner in which it didn't make the book heavy. She did an excellent job with the storyline. Even though you know what's going to happen in the end, she put a fresh spin on the circumstances throughout the book.

I really enjoyed getting to know Roni and Rich. I liked their pasts and how they molded them for the present. Roni was handed a rotten deal in life before and Rich was a playboy. I liked watching them try to overcome their trust issues and differences.

I don't want to give away too much of the book so I won't go on. Trust in me, you should pick up a copy of this book :) The book is intended for new adults and not young adults. I give this fun read four glittery stars!!!
