I Also Recommend:

    Wonderful story, garners accolades.

Seph Pyle is at the Pittsburgh airport with co-worker Tom Fraser when a killer pair of pink stilettos catch her eye in a store window. What better way to fill time while waiting for their flight to be called. The fit, color, feel has never been better. She plunks down her credit card, snaps the last strap in place, and finds herself on board a ship in 1706. The captain is quick to explain her arrival. After all, this is Seph's doing. He is merely a character in her book and he wants spoilers.
I have to tell you, I loved this book. Yes, there are a few bumps but nothing unforgivable. The characters were likable, fun, and real. When I read the back cover and saw two love interests, I knew whose side I was on. Tom won me over. I loved that he didn't spend all of his time not believing her story. And his little test to see if she had traveled, this is a guy you want to have around.
The idea that an author ends up in her own unwritten story was a great hook, and I wished this could have been expanded on a little more. With that said, the book did not lack plot.
I am not a fan of typical romance covers, but I like this one. I think it is because the artist got it right. The cover depicts the story down to the shoes. Try my recommendations as well, esp. K S Michaels...good stuff.

    VERY CUTE TIME TRAVEL ROMANCE

Outstanding work for a first time out author. I was instantly immersed in the intrigue from the start. This is a well written, witty book about a control freak named Seph who, is magically transported back into time via a pair of heals (NO LESS). As she is flung aboard a turbulant ship sailing the Mediterranean. Ironically, her romantic journey is the very story she is gestating in her own little head as the story unfolds. I enjoyed the story and the laughter. I truly appreciate an auther who can deliver humor as well as a fine paranormal, romantic, mystery. Well done. Recommendations with accolades.

Not ROFL but certainly *leaning* LOL

I love to read time travel novels and am always interested in the method of time travel as an aside, and this one was noteworthy. It was a fast read, a romp even as it was both funny and poignant. It had a couple of mysteries to boot. One of my GFs borrowed it and CALLED me when she finished it, RAVING about it.

A fun & sexy travel through time!

Wow, this is not your typical romance novel - very orginal. I thoroughly enjoyed the time travel element and the fact that the heroine, Seph, has two romantic interests who look alike (and like Colin Firth, no less!). When Seph stops in a Nine West store in the Pittsburgh airport to kill time before a business trip (along with co-worker Tom who she would like have a relationship with beyond 'co-worker'), she tries on a pair of shoes that suddenly transport her to a pirate ship in 1706. And there she meets Captain Phillip Drummond, Tom's lookalike and Seph's soon-to-be new love interest. But, even more intersting is the additional 'twist' - the 'past' is actually a story that would-be writer, Seph, has in her head. With travel from Pittsburgh to Venice, Paris and Gilbraltar, Seph tries to give Phillip a 'happy ending' (with some help from Tom). But who will she give her heart to? I won't spoil the ending for you! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, great heroines and fun. Glad to see that this author has a second book in the works - too bad I'll have to wait until August for 'Seducing Mr. Darcy'!

    Truly Engaging Debut Novel!

This is a truly unique book, a really engaging read from a new author. Seph, our heroine, is one of a kind - torn between men and centuries, good and evil, work and play, her heart and desire ... there's a lot going on, but that doesn't stop this lady! I laughed, I sighed, I envied and occasionally despaired for Seph, I turned pages until 2 am and was not disappointed! If you like romance novels, this one delivers with a special twist or two! Great read!

    A reviewer

There aren't that many books that make me laugh out loud, but this one sure did. I thought the guy sitting next to me on the plane was going to ask me to move. Seph travels back in time and ends up in the romance novel she's never written. She's screwed up the life of the sexy privateer, Drum, and now he wants her to fix things. What complicates things is Seph's other boyfriend, Tom, from present day, who ends up in the mix, too. I love the two men thing, and frankly didn't know which man to root for. Reminded me a lot of Janet Evanovich's books. The ending is very, very romantic and there's a big twist and lots of action. This one was an absolute page-turner. Looking forward to more from this writer.
