    Tailor's Drafting Manual

This Dover Publications reprint covers much the same territory as R. L. Shep's tailoring series. It gives the basic circa 1901 shapes of garments made by tailors (suits and so forth rather than dresses, lingerie, and the frillier items in a woman's wardrobe). Useful for advanced sewers.

    1901 Tailor's Drafting Manual

This book gives the most basic patterns for women's tailored garments. The garment maker is in charge of any style variations, trims, and creating the pattern in the wearer's size. No assembly or sewing instructions are provided. If you like this book you will definitely like _Ladies' Tailor-Made Garments 1908_, by S. S. Gordon. That book is a reprint of the 1908 edition of the same manual, but the 1908 edition was enlarged and reorganized.
