A two fold rating needed
Whether you like this book or not depends greatly on what you expect the book to be about. It is presented as a mystery novel and there is a mystery story within the book. As such, I would give it, maybe, two or three stars. The mystery is often very much in the background, the characters are underdeveloped, and there is not a great deal of complexity. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. On the other hand, if you want to read a book that introduces you to the culture of wine making, an appreciation of the countryside of Tuscany, and a life style that appreciates good food and good wine, this book excels (five stars). Tuscany and wine making are obviously in the author's blood (thus, the book has an appropriate title). Well worth reading if you want to gain an appreciation for an Italian (specifically, the wine culture) way of life.
