Whoever wrote the overview did not read the complete story: Lad
Whoever wrote the overview did not read the complete story:
Lady Harriet (Harry) Devere’s brother was an English spy that was killed in the line of duty. Julius Forsythe, Earl of Marbury was he’s friend and partner.
The war office wants Harriet to watch Julius Forsythe, Earl of Marbury at her grandfather’s holiday house party, and report anything that would indicate Julius is a double agent for the French.
The attraction is there between them from the start and both try and fight it.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

This was a sentimental purchase ¿ my first Feather in a number of years.
Her well-researched stories that took place during the French revolution, the Queen Mary Court and even earlier in Queen Ann’s court and the Peninsula Wars, all gripped me. Violet, The Silver Rose, The Accidental Bride, To Kiss a Spy and Almost a Bride, with their well-drawn plots and memorable characters are still in my active library. Those come highly recommended by me. What a disappointment, then, this book was! Peopled by cardboard, uninteresting characters and a lame is-he, or isn’t-he a double-agent plot gave me the impression that it was hastily pulled together in time for Christmas
