How to be a marvelous mother in law

Short book full of funny but true and thoughtful words about doing well in the wonderful world of being a mother in law (good also for father in laws). With tips on "How to Bite Your Tongue" and "Letting Them Learn from Their Mistakes" (and much more), this is a good book for anyone struggling to maintain a good relationship within the expanded family. Maybe not a perfect gift for YOUR mother in law (unless she has a good sense of humor) but a great gift for any peer who occupies or will soon occupy that challenging role.

    I Also Recommend:

Haywood Smith is the best Mother-In-Law in the Universe!

Finally, a mother who gets that being nice to you son or daughter-in-law is more about contributing to your child's happiness in life! I have had a difficult time finding a book by a real mother-in-law who admits that mothers-in-law routinely make these mistakes. Haywood Smith has written an honest, humorous but truthful guide for current and prospective mothers-in-law that assists them in navigating and cultivating a healthy relationship with their married children and their spouses. No in-law is perfect but, understanding the boundaries in your relationship is key to creating family harmony. I have shared this book with girlfriends who like me were gifted with wonderful spouses and the problematic, controlling family accompanying them. This is the how-to guide I plan to follow when I become a mother-in-law.
