    Love this Book!!!!

This was the first meditation/devotional book I received when starting my recovery from Drugs and Alcohol 20 yrs. ago. It has foundational principles which have contributed to my staying sober all these years. Highly recommend to those in and out of recovery or anyone in a 12-Step program.

    Stupid Is As Stupid Does!

When I purchased this read, I wasn't aware that God is mentioned on every page. But after disciplined reading, every day of each affirmation, I'm happy that there is such importance placed on a spiritual being that want's what best for us.

I've been in the program for many years and sober for the majority. But I just joined AA from another program. I'd been exposed and have quite a bit of experience with AA, but have only recently given myself completely.

The first few weeks, I was having difficulty with God jumping out to me from every affirmation. But now I have come to look forward to it.

Recovery is a blessing to all, whom put in the work. Affirmations point out the chaos and insanity which defined us. And I have found that faith, in a power that knows the answer to all my questions is a blessing beyond comprehension.

It only makes sense. If God is responsible for the good things in life, then why the heck should we not devote one book that can be read daily to Him?

Essential daily for every recovering alcoholic

I am amazed that time and time again these daily readings will speak to me very personally and provide inspiration and direction, often in a very specific way.

Read the passage on January 6th. It sums up my world. I can't even say the second sentence aloud at a meeting without choking up and shedding tears! That "January 6th" passage has become a mantra for my mens group. We'll say one-six to each other outside the Halls as a salutation. It's gotten me through some fleeting moments. 1-6 everyone

    Essential for the recovering alchoholic

It is hard, once I discovered this book, to miss a day reading it. This book consistently talks about YOU , the alchoholic, and how to live each day sober. A must read!

Twenty-Four Hours A Day Gives Hope And Inspiration

I first started using this book daily in either late October or early November 1990. I have been pretty faithful about referring to the daily readings since that time. It's amazing how often that a day's reading touches something I am experiencing and gives me the hope and inspiration to get through whatever I am going through. Along with the Big Book, Twenty-Four Hours A Day has been one of the most useful tools in my recovery.
